Why Clear Your Browsing History?
- Prevents others from seeing websites you visited.
- Deletes saved passwords, cookies, and search history.
- Helps protect your privacy if someone else uses your device.
1. Google Chrome
PC:
- Open Chrome and click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select “History” (or press Ctrl + H).
- Click “Clear browsing data” on the left.
- Choose “All time” (to delete everything).
- Check “Browsing history,” “Cookies,” and “Cached images”.
- Click “Clear data”.
Mobile (Android/iPhone):
- Open Chrome and tap the three dots (⋮) (top-right on Android, bottom on iPhone).
- Tap “History”.
- Select “Clear browsing data”.
- Choose “All time”, check the boxes, and tap “Clear data”.
2. Microsoft Edge
PC:
- Open Edge and click the three dots (…) in the top-right.
- Go to “History” (or press Ctrl + H).
- Click “Clear browsing data”.
- Select “All time”, check the boxes, and click “Clear now”.
Mobile (Android/iPhone):
- Open Edge, tap the three dots (…) (bottom on iPhone, top on Android).
- Tap “History”, then “Clear browsing data”.
- Select “All time”, check the boxes, and tap “Clear”.
3. Mozilla Firefox
PC:
- Open Firefox and click the three lines (☰) in the top-right.
- Select “History” > “Clear Recent History”.
- Choose “Everything”, check all boxes, and click “OK”.
Mobile (Android/iPhone):
- Open Firefox, tap the three dots (⋮) (bottom on iPhone, top on Android).
- Go to “History” > “Clear Recent History”.
- Select “Everything” and tap “Clear data”.
4. Safari (iPhone & Mac Only)
Mac:
- Open Safari and click “History” in the top menu.
- Select “Clear History”.
- Choose “All history” and click “Clear History”.
iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings, scroll down, and tap “Safari”.
- Tap “Clear History and Website Data”.
- Confirm by tapping “Clear”.
5. Opera
PC:
- Open Opera and click the three dots (…) in the top-right.
- Go to “History” (or press Ctrl + H).
- Click “Clear browsing data”.
- Select “All time”, check the boxes, and click “Clear data”.
Mobile (Android/iPhone):
- Open Opera, tap the three dots (…) (bottom on iPhone, top on Android).
- Tap “History” > “Clear browsing data”.
- Choose “All time”, check the boxes, and tap “Clear”.
Important Notes
Log out of accounts (like Gmail or Facebook) before clearing history.
Passwords & autofill data may need to be deleted separately.
Repeat regularly if privacy is a concern.
